We've had some very cold weather in England lately, during which my car tries hard to move off when first started, even with the footbrake firmly applied. Unless I am able to release the brakes, it will stall, so it's tricky when getting away. After a few miles when the box has warmed up, it's ok, and on milder days the problem does not occur. The car is 5 years old and has done 52,000 miles. Any ideas?
