DIY manual

MB has an excellent DVD called Star Classic Service Manual Library. It covers all W210 models. However, it assumes a certain amount of experience as a auto mechanic. You can get it from 1-800-FOR MERCedes. It was $149 plus S&H&Tax last time I checked.
If you're just getting started and only want to do routine maintenance, I suggest you look over the DIY threads on mercedesshop.com and benzworld.org (W210 forum). Many have high quality digital images to orient you.
You can also subscribe to an online service such as alldatadiy.com.
Be wary of inexpensive CD's listed on eBay. Many people who have bought them have posted that they were quite disappointed. Good luck.

On the contrary, the people on these sites are friendly and willing to help. Feel free to ask questions, that's how the rest of us learned about these cars.
