display defective malfunction

display defective malfunction
hi, this is my first post on this forum. i have a 2002 e320 with 51000 miles.
i have been getting 2 malfunction messages as follows
display defective, see workshop, (with a jagged arrow)
teleaid sos, see workshop.
the car drives fine, and i will "see workshop" next week.
any insights as to what the problem is?
