Default Cooling system issues

Hi all

Newbie here! Be nice!

I have a 2013 e250 convertible and around 6 months ago I was having an issue with the temp fluctuating. Not overheating if anything not getting warm enough. So Mercedes replaced the thermostat. A few months later I noticed it was still fluctuating although not as bad.
The result: “coolant pump linkage broken. They found the leak also coming from coolant line to reservoir. As temperature is fluctuating, thermostat requires replacing. As part of your 2 year parts warranty we will be covering the thermostat, gasket, intake manifold”
so I get the car back and it still fluctuates between 80 and 90. Mercedes tell me this is normal??? Now I am noticing a slow coolant leak and looks messy under the bonnet. It is now telling me to top it up after only a few months since getting all this costly work not to mention a service also done.

I have it booked in at a different mechanic next week and will top up the coolant until then but in the meantime any ideas?

First, find the leak!
