Default Command Screen

My 2006 E 350 radio command screen has lost most of it's non-glare screen coating. I bought it used and it came this way so I don't know how it happened. Is there any way to either repair the screen OR maybe remove the rest of the ugly non glare coating from the screen. Is it difficult to replace the entire radio DIY?

Thanks for any help

Well, If I can answer my own question! After much experimenting, I discovered that white distilled vinegar rubbed on the screen and then dried with a soft cotton took all of the Anti-reflective coating off with no damage to my screen. I then bought a protective screen with the AR coating on it and it works great. Saved me thousands of dollars for a new radio!!
Just what worked for me. No guarantee for anyone !
