Just found this site and it's great!! I have an '87 300 D Turbo. A great car, but after sitting for a few months while I was away, it now has a severe clunk when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd. It only does this at normal acceleration....not when under hard acceleration. This is no little clunk...it sounds like the rear end or tranny is about to leave the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
