Default Chronic Dead Battery, amps at rest?

My battery keeps dying. I've charged it, changed it, still dies. If I don't put it on a trickle charger every night the next day it's dead.
The car is pulling 0.71 amps with everything turned off.
Is this normal?

Thank you,
BKH

Same here. 2004 E320CDI. Went to workshop, changed Unit Control Module two months ago, cause of not starting / disabling of comfort system. It seemed to be ok till now. Again, can't start.

Help appreciated, thanks

Default Battery

If your battery cannot hold a charge with a 0.71 amp draw overnight I would strongly suggest it is not fit for purpose, doesn't matter which model MB a 12 volt battery should easily last over several days at that low amperage.

There are a multitude of dead-battery problems on this forum.
If so equipped, check power seat modules, keyless go, and in my own personal case check that the alternator is functioning properly. I had one that charged the battery (after a boost) and then sucked the power out of the battery overnight. A faulty diode in the alternator was at fault.
By the way, a battery that goes completely dead more than five to six times will never hold a charge longterm.
