Default Changing W124 Steering Wheels

My '93 W124 coupe steering wheel is shot - 141,000 miles have seen the leather worn through.

I want to replace it but are all W124 wheels pretty much the same?

Can I swap the airbag over to another similar W124 wheel or do I have to use the exact same wheel?

Is the wheel hard to change? I would imagine it would be on there TIGHT.

I've just been checking the web for such a thing. You can send the steering wheel in and have it recovered for around $150. Some guys are handy and can DIY for a lot less.

The steering wheel is not hard to remove. It's just nuts and bolts.
