central locking, boot problems
Hi, I have an interesting and very annoying problem with my 97 E300TD.
After changing the battery all was well until i locked the car, after a few minutes the indicators flash rapidly and continue to do this everytime the car is locked.
Then when locking the car the doors open straight away, the interior lightscome on then fade and come on again and repeat this sequence, and the boot/trunk pops up. when i shut the boot and lock the car the whole sequence starts again.
If i leave a door open and lock the car, it is fine, but if i shut the door it all starts again.
I have now disconnected the PSE and i am using the key for manual entry to the car.
Please Please help this is really annoying me.......

RE: Actuator problem
97 E300td. After recently being told i had a turbo actuator problem ( lack of turbo boost ), the battery died so I've had a new battery fitted, after which the cars power was amazing. Full power available all the time .. Then i had central locking and boot opening problems and decided to clear fault codes. After disconnecting battery and pushing the brake pedal for 30 seconds, i reconnected the battery. i still have central locking/boot problems and have now lost turbo boost again... anyone have any ideas?

RE: Actuator problem
Interesting.
No ideas really but just as a loooong shot.
Disconnect the battery. Leave disconnected for 10 mins or so. Then reconnect but ensure key is out of ignition (and away from car), doors are shut (not locked) and everything else you can think of is in the normal (off) condition.
Why did you press the brake pedal for 30 secs?
