CD Changer Location...

Greetings...
This is my first post; I look forward to learning from all of you.
I recently bought a 1999 E320 that does not have a CD changer installed. My questions are these: how do I determine if the car is prewired to accept a CD changer? Where is it installed? Is installation a particularly difficult proposition?
Thanks again, and I look forward to your advice and input.

you can tell by looking at the options code for special accessories in your data card. it is attached to the user's manual. or else you have to include your VIN number in posting so that we can check.
it is installed in rear left side of trunk compatment.
most cars are pre-wired for this purpose.
installation means difficult for you and a two hour job for technician because they don't care about pulling out the rear seat, carpet, step board and under dash coverings. while you religiously do it, it will take more time.
