Carfax Question
Brand new here thank You,
So, I took a look, and drive at a Mercedes e320 awd wagon today. Decent price, decent miles, and the salesman has been in business for 25 years. I got the VIN and ran a carfax, and there was a 28,000 mile spike in 31 days. This was after an average or 17,000 miles per year. Could carfax have the dates wrong? I don't see any possible way it could get that much mileage in a month? Has anyone , had a problem with Carfax? Thanks in Advance

RE: Carfax Question
I would not worry about the spike in miles. It's all about the reporting criteria that is sent to Carfax. I would avoid that car if it lost mileage though. I have run many a Carfaxs and have seen cars lose 100,000 in a month when they went to another state and came back.
