thanks for the replies...the battery is good...gonna check the terminals tommorrow and also that switch a dalton is talking about. i was wondering about the alarm switch since the dashboard light in the center does not come on yet my alarm is still activated becuz it has gone off on me a couple of times...but will check that switch tommorow......thanks alot guys

 

The alarm led is very hard to see.. best seen at night through the rear window...it is very dim
You would think they would have used a Bright one to warn off creeps ??????????

i have a 1987 300e i have replaced the fuel pumps, the ovp relay, the fuel pump relay, wires plugs,
and still my benz wants to stall. some time i can drive it across town some times it stall a block from the house.
it only start when i pull the ovp relay out.

 

The starter was the problem after all..since the relay is fine..i replaced starter...car starts perfectly...over and over..thanks alot for the help guys.

 

My 1994 E320 wagon I believe needs a new nss. The backup lights do not light and it will not start, engine won't turn over. It was intermittent at first, wiggle the gear shift back and forth a few times and away it would go. Then, no cranking at all. I tried going to the url posted by a dalton but couldn't get into it for some reason. Very grateful for this forum and the members that are always willing and able to help with diagnosis and repair. If you have any suggestions on how to remove and replace the nss would love to hear them.
