Car randomly shutting off...

I have a 2000 E 320, lately the car while driving will just shut off. And then I have to wait about 2-3 minutes before it will start again. When it shuts off and I try to start it right away, it will crank, but not start. And then after waiting a few minutes, it starts fine, and then drives fine. The radio and A/C and everything still works. I even replaced the battery.
Is it some sort of sensor problem? I'm just worried that this will happen on the highway. So far it's only happened when I was driving around 10mph. Thank you in advance.

do not take it to the shop.
Read and follow diy on w210 diy section.
Common problem your crankshaft position sensor is failing. Symptoms stall when warm, failure to start when turned off warm and then starts after cool down.
Part is about 60 bucks. Takes 20 minutes to replace. Or take it to the dealer and get raped.
Your choice.

sorry for late replies,
yes its true, agreed what ohloard said, i ve come across to this also on 3 of our e class rentals... common problem would be the crankshaf sensors failing...please be aware of the camshaft sensors too it happens on the e class rentals before.
