Hello

Recently I've got an issue with my 1998 E290 Turbo Diesel. Even though I warm it up for a 3-4 minutes every morning, it will hesitate to accelerate properly until the engine temperature hits 40 centigrade. What I mean by hesitation is that I have to pound more on the gas pedal than I used to. The VDO light comes on during this time...

Also, backing up is now more difficult; car does not respond well when I press the gas pedal even though I have no trouble putting the gear at the rear position.

Not sure where to begin looking for the root cause of this problem. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
