Hello all,</P>


I own a 1991 300E, I bought it in Dec and have sincespent well over 5000 dollars fixing it, its 92% brand new right now, I've replaced almost EVERY THING in this car. </P>


Smoothest ride I've ever owned. Please let me know what you guys and gals think.</P>

i cant understand how it could be 92% new. have you bought a crashed one or one without a service history. however the mechanic was he was riping you off big time and i would suggest that you drive the car until there really is something wrong. i own a w124 200 which is exactly the same car as yours only with a diffrenet engine ,and they are a superb car.

When I bought it, mostly everything were real messed up, change Tie rods, shocks, discs, springs, brakes, muffler, headliner, AC (now use 134) these are the ones I can remember, also installed a Sony CD Player, replaced the speakers I've spent well over 3000 in the past three months repairing it, and it drives VERY well now... my next work will be the paint which is fading on the roof, the hood and a minor scratch in the back... The previous owner is now in shock to see how beautiful this car got.. :-)
