bio fuel question for E 220
i have a 1999 E220cdi
i am told i can run it on 50/50 diesel veg oil
i quieried this with a common rail
and was told that it was ok to use a 50/50 mix
but that after 2002 mercedes changed the system
and cannot use biofuel??
can any one enlighten me
would this work with different filters??
thanks guys

Be careful!
I also was into doing this... until I learned that the closest biofuel station was 45 minutes away. The B5 is okay for your newer diesel from what I recall. My 1982 240D could have used the B20 without incident. If I remember correctly, you want to be careful because your 1999 diesel motor tolerances are very tight compared with the older diesels. B5 is about as agressive as I'd go.
Whoever told you to mix diesel and used veg oil is insane. Read a great deal more then sleep on your choice. You have a nice motor and it's be a shame to kill it by using some hippie's homebrew.
