Guyz, this morning i was driving and when i made u turn, my bets started sqeaking. I turned right it sqeaked then turned left and did the same thing.

I got to work and had my buddy turn the steering and i noticed that, when i turn and hit the gas, it looks like the water pump stops turning adn the belt sqeaks on that.

any help on this...

Check belt tension,lubricate the idle pulley with wd40,check your power steering fluid level.If the belt is slipping so much that the water pump is not turning,fix it or risk over heating.........get er done!

stop gap to get you home,get some belt dressing and spray it on the belt,be careful around moving parts!!!!!

 

Sounds like you are about to lose your water pump (or alternator, or something else causing the belt to drag). Better fix it or your belt will blow - not fun!

Loose belt OR auxillary (most likely water pump) beginning to seize.


Procedure. Remove belt. Inspect belt, check free running of auxillariles inc tension idler, check auto tensioner (if fittef) refit belt and tension correctly.

At full lock V belts do sometimed cause a screech evenwith the belt and all other components OK dependent upon PAS pressure relief system used.

You don'tstate model type therefore I don't know what sort of belt you have i.e. Vee vs flat/tooth type
