Auto wont change gear

Default Auto wont change gear
Help!! My E300 has suddenly stopped changing gear! It seems to be stuck in first, and wont change up. Is there anything easy to check, or are we talking expensive?

the previous owner of the 94 e320 i have now had to replace the transmission computer. it was $1000. i dont know how to check if thats ur issue other then the dealer.

hopefully thats not ur issue.

It turned out to be the conductor plate on the gearbox.
