anyone know alot about 300e's help i'am desprate
I have a 1989 300e it was runing fine then it started slowly lost axcelleration power. I checked the spark plugs all 6 where fauled i cleaned them and reinstaled they where all fauled again with in 1 mile of normal dirving. The car ran fine all morning then this happend all of a sudden. the engene was reving fine in n for a while now it is sputtering in neutral too. some how the engene is getting too much fuel, it is blowing out a lot of black smoke a sign of Running to rich
could the coldstart be stuck or EHA
also where is the cold start?
i just heard it might be my temp. sensor in the fuel injection does any one know where that is

Hi Leon,
I'm no specialist but car troubles in the past make me think about these components to be the suspect:
- Cold start valve
- Oxygen sensor
- the E.H.A valve (Electro-Hydraulic Actuator)
- fuel pressure regulator
and may be others which I didn't remember yet...
good luck and let us know because it may happen to our car tomorrow...

the sensor is on the head ..intake side rear...two post...dont confuse it with the sensor in the middle of the head that one is for the aux fan controller...you might pull out the 02 sensor and see what it looks like ..if its clogged.
