Added another 1/2 quart of AF134
I've done a tranny fluid change and filter replacement about 3 weeks ago. At that time, I added 4 quarts of AF134. I know it needs 4 quarts with drain and without flushing the tranng and I don't have a stick to check on the level. Well, the transmission is doing well and the car is still running fine, no leak whatsoever. However, I remembered that I caught the fluid in the oil pan and poured it into milk bottle, which filled it up to a gallon. But I'd spill some fluid on floor and on the rug. Today, I added 1/2 quart just to be on the safe side. I took a test drive and I noticed the engine responded with more power and acceleration.
I don't know if it was just my psychological Dilemma or it is true that 1/2 quart do make a difference. I know I need a stick to verify it, but I don't want to spend $35-50 for a one time checking. I think I will leave it and not thinking about adding the remaining 1/2 quart of AF134, which might gain more power or ruin my tranny.
Any thoughts?
