Default AC fan dead

Does anybody know what to check if the AC fan begins to work intermittantly? I thought it was completely dead, but today I was fiddling vainly with the buttons and it just began to work all of a sudden. Then it died again after I switched it off and tried on again, It has worked since, but only in a sketchy manner. I've checked under the fuse box for corrosion and found none. I cleaned up the grounding points to the car near the battery. There was a tiny, little bit of rust, but it's gone now. The batterys voltage is at 12.95. I've been told to turn the key to run position and check to see if it stays above 10 volts...a good indicator?

I received some helpful hints from c280wiz on this problem earlier, but for some reason all of those posts were deleted from the "introduce yourself" area of this site

Well, any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Um, I dunno. It's a 1994 E320 coupe with the 217hp 3.2 liter engine if that's what those numbers are referring to. Are there any dead giveaways that'll help us discern its #? Do those numbers have anything to do with body style? If so, it doesn't have the funky vents on the back windows trailing edge. Later, and thanks for the link!

It's Fixed!

I was looking at the fuse key card and noticed at the bottom it said "outside fuse box -- blower" or something like that. I looked around and found a small black rectangular housing about 2 inches long just ahead of the main fuse box. Inside was a weird looking 30-amp fuse, just a thin piece of metal fastened down with two screws. It seemed OK at first, but I took a closer look and saw a tiny hairline break diagonally across its center. Kinda like a stress fracture. Replaced it and the thing works fine now. Thanks for any effort you've already put into this
