Default 98 E430 Weird Electrical Problem

This is driving me crazy. Randomly, different electrical things stop working (power windows & seats, power sunroof, etc.). They fail independantly at different times (except for things that are on the same circuit, i.e driver power window and power seat). If I pull out the fuse for the circuit that no longer works and put the same one back in, everything on that circuit will start working fine (at least for a few days). Pulling out and putting back in the same fuse will only fix the problem if the ignition is on, it will not work with the key off. Removing the battery terminal and replacing it after a few seconds will also fix the problem. A brand new battery would not keep the problem from resurfacing. My Benz mechanic has no idea. Help!

If removing and reinserting of certain fuse make electrical components work again, that means they are loosing the synchronization position. (check your owner's manual for something like emergency sunroof operation and resynchronization with removing roof fuse for a second and opening it fully with holding open button for second longer to resynchronize it and memorize this position in BCM (body control module), I believe you loosing this info or your components are never resynchronized correctly after battery disconnection. Sorry if I'm wrong, this is just my best tought. Bernard

Default Screwy Electrical

My son recently inherited a '99 E320 that exhibits similar characteristics. We don't have an owners manual so I'm not familiar with the resynch technique. Can someone direct me to a PDF of the manual or explain the process. If you can help here, I'm also troubleshooting an ignition problem that I posted earlier.

I've replaced the battery recently btw.
