My '98 E320 wagon has a digital trip odometer. The book says to reset it, push the "O" button on the left of the instrument panel. I did that and it didn't reset the odometer. I pushed it twice and held it down on the second push - same results. I phoned Mercedes Customer Service and they said to push in the "O" button. Does anyone have any ideas??

 

it could take 5 seconds or so of steady pressure to reset the odometer. Beyond 10 sec., I'd say you have a problem.

 

I held it down about 30 seconds with no joy. I guess I have a problem

 

Try it with the ignition on,and foot on brake ,car in neutral....Don't know why it worked on a buddies E series but that's how he got his to work,and then it worked the regular way from then on.Push and hold for 5 seconds.
