Hi everybody ! I've had a problem with my 98 E320. I was driving and it just stopped in the middle of the road and wouldn't start again! I tried to start it many times and the car just wouldn't start. No "check engine" light was on. After about 15 minutes later it started and worked normaly. I've checked the oil level and the indicator said that it is over MAX. Could the car stop because of high level of oil or what could it be ??? I changed my oil about 1.5 weeks ago and everything was OK untill today! PLEASE HELP !!!!

 

engine oil has nothing to do with it.

it must be fuel system.

 

do you have any idea what exactly could it be ???

 

not without the aid of tools.

it can be a fuel pump intermittent problem

a clogged up fuel filter

a faulty crankshaft position sensor

better read the fault code.

 

the "check engine" didn't show up... do you still suggest to check fo the fault code?
I thought that there is no fault code come up untill "check engine electronics" shows up!

 

it's the only way to know what happened at that time.

not all fault codes can turn on the check engine light.

you can if you have the diagnostic computer.

 

unfortunately I don't have one !!! My friend has one but its not for mercedes, I don't know if it'll work for mercedes, but works for all other cars !!! Will it work?
