Default '93 300E problems

Hi, just like to start off by saying I'm new here and this is my first car and I really don't know too much but you all seem to know what your talking about so I though I'd give it a try

OK so I was driving home today and my friend was adjusting his seat when the adjustment switches stopped working. He was lowering the backrest while there was a passenger in the backseat behind him. They all seem to be working except for the backrest and headrest.

Also, the dashboard light saying an exterior light is out stays on even after I changed and checked all of my lights.

First, buy yourself a fuse kit and replace all fuses, they may look good but still give you trouble.

Your seat switch is most likely the problem. Mercedesshop.org or com. has a DIY on how to clean the switch, maybe just spay it down with brake cleaner will help. They get dirty.
