I have a clicking noise coming from rear-right, or rear center when accelerating in gear.....don't know much about this, but am willing to learn...anyone have any suggestions?? Also, can smell gas near outside gas door....I know that I shouldn't be able to smell these fumes....Thanks for your imput.

 

Need help diagnosing a loud clicking noise coming from right rear or middle...only when in gear and accelerating...noise seems to be coming from the the area around the differential...but have checked the flex disk and cant find anything loose...please help!! Thank you

 

the fuel smell is from the broken activated charcoal filter, but the noise... i got no idea how it sounds.

what's the frequency of the click and how does it sound? metal to metal, rubber to metal, etc.

How many miles are on the car? Does the sound change when you turn one way or the other? If it does, I might suspect a CV joint. Questioned the miles because CV joints normally last a long time.
