88 190E Suspension Squeek
Im the proud new owner of190E that runs great, but lately ive been experiencing alot of noise from the front end. I noticed some tears in the strutt boots, and proceded to silicon them, which removed some of the noise. However, at low speeds, especially when turning, there is a noticible sqeek still. Ive inspected all of the a-frame bushings, ball joints, and steering linkage, and lubricated them all with silicon, but there is still a bit of noise. Aside from buying new bushings and ball joints, does anyone know how I could remove this squeek? Next chance I get I plan on taking a stethoscope out to pinpoint the noise exactly, so if there is a specific lubricant anyone knows of that could help, I would appreciate the input.
sqeeky noises rings the bell sounds more like the ball joints to me,although you ve checekd the ball joints thats the only thing that causes the noise when turning the wheel, wats happened on your is the ball joint grease has gone dry............
