Default '87 300E w/ Low Speed Miss

Hi, I own a 1987 300E, and when it it idles at low speed, like when you are stopped at a traffic light, the engine misses and the car shakes, however it runs fine once you press on the accelerator. Any one have any ideas whats going on, or what I can do?

-Thanks

Sounds like bad plugs/wires most likely causing missing of engine at low RPM's; that does tend to be better when accelerating, much more obvious at idle. No check engine light? Not sure if '87 had that feature or not. Any garage can check this for you, or you may just want to change plugs and/or wires if not done in last few years. Warning: Wires for this car may be very expensive, and you may want to shop around--I found wires for my '94 E420 cost anywhere from $250-600 for a set-finally bought some at BAP Import! Plugs are very inexpensive to try first--just be careful when removing plug boots. Use a boot puller from auto store to prevent damaging the rubber boot.
