I found a Haynes manual for 85-93 124 series at www.autorepairmanuals.biz
Unfortunately for me, it doesn't seem to reference the 4Matic models at all.

yeah, braingears went belly up last month or so. i had anticipated that this might happen and managed to suck up many of the files before it was pulled. i'm guessing about 5000 pages and 350mb. too large for me to host. the only substitute has been the following link...though for model W210. have not found anything for earlier models.
