Just bought a 1991 300E with 70K. Received the car on a dry day and everything worked. That night it rained and now the Windshield wiper does not function. The power seats only operate when the drivers door is open (Door pin out). last night no power windows. Today dry - power windows work. Still windshield wipers inoperable. Also dash lights are out.
Suggestions?

I would first try to find out if thee is a BCM on your car (body control module) If there is, that is the junction where all your electrical components run through. You'll most likely find bad connections where the wires plug in.

Those older models have a pretty archaic fuse panel. Start by removing all the fuses and cleaning the posts. Then, install new fuses, ideally the copper clad type. I would bet money that your problem will disappear.
