Default 280TE Timing Chain replacement

I have two of these in the family with 220 KM plus. Both with original chains. What is the typical mileage to replace, if at all. Is there any signs of wear etc. to look for? Tension appears to be typical of a new chain

no definite time for replacing the chain, but it's safe to do it every 120k km.

the only sign of wear is if you open the valve cover and look at the camshaft gears. if the cogs (tooth) is pointed and sharp, then it is caused by the elongated chain.
