Default 2009 E350 - Reverse

When shifting into reverse, it will take anywhere from 3-5 seconds to engage. Is this normal?

You have a eletronic shift trans on your hands. If you do not come to a complete stop before putting in to revese it will take a few seconds. You have to think about it the car sees reverse movement, but you are telling it to go foward. It is like your telling it to do 2 things a once. Make sure you are stoped and if it still takes 3-5 seconds that is not normal.

OK, I figured it had something to do with he Electronics. I figured out that from Park, it's ok. It's only when shifting from Drive to Reverse that is takes a couple seconds. Makes total sense. Thanks.
