Hello I have read for days on the fiber optic loop bypass and the COMAND shutting off. I had a problem a few years ago on my 2007 E350 and I bypassed with a loop on the Voice Module. The COMAND unit is doing it again with the MB Logo appearing slowly and then shutting off in 7 seconds. I put the fiber optic loop on the navigation, CDC and the Voice Module again and no change, so presumable they are not the problem. I pulled all of the fuses and waited, didn't help. The Tele Aid box doesn't have the orange fibre optic wires, it has black ones with a different bigger connector. I have a few questions:

1. Would a bad Tele Aid cause the COMAND shut off problem?

2. How do I bypass the Fiber Optics on the Tele Aid with the black fibre optic wires?

3. Could a bad AGW or COMAND unit cause the MB Logo shut off issue. It seems that if COMAND was bad, there would be no MD Logo at all.


I am at a loss!
