2007 E 280 CDI Advantgarde
Hi im thinking of buying the above model and would like some opinions!
Im looking for a car that i can keep and drive for a long time that has a long life span that doesnt wear out and need servicing every 10k.
Fuel consumption is important to me currently i have a Nissan Murano 3.5lt which guzzles on par with a V8 i had previously roughly 400km a tank on a good day!
Can someone give me the their fuel specs on the above car as ive read different reports like 7.1/100km to 9.1/100km, how many kms you get from a fuel tank?
any other pro's and con's?
thanks!

Hi Meldrick,
I have a late 2005 E280 CDI AVANTGARDE.
I bought it at 8 months old and has 33000 miles.
MPG is great at about 40 - 43 on average. The 7G box is brilliant and helps with MPG. I honestly don't know how far on a tank but the tank is large so I don't think you would be disappointed.
I have it serviced every year with no probs.
Tyre wear is a wee prob I am looking to fit tyres about 10000 miles.
At 3 years the front coils had to be replaced - under warranty.
Last week I noticed a lit icon on the fascia that has been diagnosed as inlet manifold probs. The garage has warned that there may be a £1000 + bill. Scary.
I have also been told that the ball joints may have to be replaced.
Listen, I know I have been complaining a lot about my car but I can honestly say I love it and would buy another.
Anything else, let me know.
