Default 2005 E320 CDI Operating Temp and Thermostat

Hi, what temp should my car normally run? It has been running about 60 C now that it's cooler. If it ides for a while it wil warm to about 80 on the panel gauge. That seems cool to me; my old 420 SEL runs about 80 C all the time.
