i hit my brakes (not really hard) yesterday and my outside rear brake pads slipped off the bracket and hit my rotor. i reset them both but when the caliper ignites for whatever reason that outside pad slips off. i changed them myself about 2 years ago and havent had a problem. anybody have any ideas before i take it in?

never heard of that happeneing you must be missing some pins or a bracket on the caliper. or their the wrong pads, there needs to be something holding the pad inplace.

what happend was they sold me the wrong rotors. i took it yesterday and thats what they said. the crazy thing is i bought all the parts from the dealrship. but somehow the wrong ones got pulled. it was off by like 2 numbers. another weird thing is they fit. it took almost a year and one hard braking incident for them to fall off. so they said they'll work with me on the price since it was their fault but i'm off now to see what the damage is gonna be.
