2003 E320 - Steering Wheel Vibrates at 50mph and 80mph
I was thinking I just need to get the tires balanced and a front and rear alignment... Is this the right course of action? Do you guy know something I don't?
Also, I see some "Mercedes Repair Shops" around town... Obviously not dealerships but they say they work on Mercedes'. Should I get work done there? Or not chance it and go direct to the dealer (and pay top dollar)?

IMHO have someone who is familiar with the sensitivity of an MB do the work. A dealer would be a good call but I guess there are others with the correct equipment and expertise. Many tyre shops should be avoided since they don't follow the MB procedure or use 4 wheel equipment.
Unless the vehicle has already been "tracked" by a tyre shop somewhere I would leave Track well alone unless your tyres are showing specific tracking damage.
NB MB's wear the inside/outside edges of the tyres badly even when all is set up OK. Just look at the angle of the front wheel after moving backwards on full lock!!
Wheels should be checked for roundness and then balanced OFF CAR.
If you continue to have problems then things get a load more complicated and you may have tyres which are out of spec.

Just to keep you guys updated, my front right tire was warped (wasn't perfectly round). No matter what he did, he couldn't balance it. Maybe i nailed a pothole or something. Went to a tire shop, bought two new front tires and balanced them. Problem solved
