Default 2003 E270 cdi standard wheel size

Hi, I have a 2003 E270 estate, European model, currently fitted with 18" AMG and P-Zeroes. I would like to throw these rims as far as I can and replace them with standard alloys. I think that the standard sizes on this car were either 225/55 x 16 or 245/45 x 18; can someone confirm this please?

I found a useful website called carfolio.com, which confirms that 225/55x16s are standard.

So, now, a supplementary question - are all MB 16"alloys from that era identical wrt offset, etc? F'rinstance, If I find a set of good 7.5Jx16 alloys from a C class can I buy knowing they'll fit OK in all respects?

TIA
