Do you have standard wheels and tyres or specialk equipment low profile?
Low profile wreck the ride but improve the response/handling.

if you go over speed bump and afterwards, the car continues to pogo more than once/twice, it prob is due to your shocks losing it's damping ability. for a car of your vintage, it seems a bit odd, but in real life, it's the accumulated road conditions, not age which determines the life span of a shock. so when you push down on a fender, does it smartly rebounds up and then down....or does it absorbs and slowly recovers? if it rebounds too quickly, it's time to replace the shocks.
