Is this with the car in park or neutral?Or when you are in gear and going down the road?

We don't have the E200 state side so I dont know if EPC could be called something different on our cars, some of the older benz had epc instead of esp, when tha light or warning came on it meant traction or direction relative to where the steering wheel was pointed, and a correction was taking place, once back to where it thought it should be it shut off.Do you have a check engine light on?have you scanned for stored codes?Look in the manual and see if it shows that warning...
keep us posted, and where do you live?

Like I said we don't have them here, but give more info and someone will figure it out.If it is happening when you are driving and it is part of the traction stability system, have you had brake light problems or abs/esp warnings lately?if so it could be a bad brake switch, which has some of the symptoms you describe.
keep posting what you find,it is a puzzle for sure.

it appears all the time when i press the pedal at maximum, let me tell you:
i press the acceleration for maximum and if i execute more force on my foot, the pedal goes one more cm. in the range of that cm the error appears, when parking even on ther road, if i don't press the pedal for maximum it doesn't appear.
sometimes i have some problems with the tachometer, it goes to 3000 rotations and stucks there until i change the gear, and in all the gears it stucks on 3000 rotations / min

i live in Romania, i have a manual 6+1 gearbox diesel motor.
thank you, Costin.
