Default 1999 300 TD with fuel leak from distribution pump

Hi

Last year we had to replace the fuel system lines which were leaking. This week I had to take the car in because we found diesel on the garage floor again. This time, they say it is the fuel distribution pump that is leaking. It will be a very expensive repair. One of the mechanicsiswondering ifthe new additives in the diesel fuels may be causing these problems. They havefixes things on the diesels that never had these type of problems with this kind of mileage. Has anyone heard of this. Is this unusual, we are thinking of trading in the car because getting these fixes are so expensive and wonder if it is just the beginning of more problems. We only have 125k miles and have complied and kept up with all maintance for the vehicle.

Thanks for any information that you can supply.
