My husband put 10W30 in last night and somehow the oil started spraying under the hood. I lost it all. I stopped the car when the light came on to warn me. Did he use the wrong oil? Does it have to be fully synthetic oil? What type of oil should I be using?

he probably left the oil cap loose or the oil filter housing loose. thats the only way oil would spray out of the engine. take care of the leak problem before putting more oil in the engine and loosing it all again. should be using 5-30 or 5-40 but 10- 30 will work for you...but its not recommended for your car.

 

left the oil cap off and he's afraid to tell you. wrong oil filter maybe. knocked a vacuum line off the valve cover, blowback
