Default 1997 E420 Electrical Problems

I have a 1997 E420 with 40,000 miles on it that I purchased new. Over the past year I have been having an electrical problem that starts with the low fuel warning light coming on at levels above a half tank, then some or all warning lights display. After a few moments, the "Check Engine" or "Engine Electronics" light will be displayed. This problem will reset if the car is allowed to sit anywhere from a couple of hours to a few days. Once when this problem occurred, I drove it directly to the dealer only to have it reset as I pulled into the dealer's entrance. I have taken the car to my MB dealer several times for this problem. Every time I am informed that no error codes are being reported. Finally, the dealer replaced the EMU, which is covered under a 8/80 warranty. This worked for one month, as of yesterday the problem started again. I was told to bring the car in, but they have no idea as to what to do at this point in time. Has anybody else experienced this problem and more importantly had it resolved?
