Default 1997 E320 Seat broken

ust purchased a 1997 e320, 104k on it. I have some issues to work on however first the seat it'll go forward but not backward. Trust me nothing is in track b/c I can move it forward. I need more info if any would share. Would it be the motor even if it goes forward, or just the switch, it does not have memory seats. Also have an srs issue and check engine, but it runs well. I know I can fix most of it...btw its a really nice green color with new tires and runs like a top...I paid 3800. Paint is great

Run the seat all the way to the front and then try moving it back.
get a 94169 obd2 code scanner from harborfreight tools online or at one near you if located in your area and read the codes post them here or on benzworld.org w210 section.Do not ignore a cel it could lead to a fried cat.
srs issue is most likely the passenger seat occupancy sensor, diy r/r on benzworld.org w210 diy section.Enjoy the new old car.
one more thing it is past time to get your trans fluid and filter changed mb spec fluid only diy on you know where and also on mercedesshop.com resource section 722.6 trans fluid change
Also when you do the spark plugs on the m104 use only the oem copper plug bosch,do not use the new platinum or multi tip plugs.
enjoy

Thanks for the help. I did scan it, intresting enough 2 codes says replece both 02 sensors, however it the clear button, cleared codes...worked for 80 miles then came back on. Also it is sometimes difficult to start... turns over fine, hoping this is not the beginning of a head gasket issue, no smoke from exhaust and oil looks fine from the stick end...

Clearing codes does not erse them from the ecu memory it just clears the check engine light. If the condition that triggered the light in the first place is not fixed or was not a temporary condition it will come back on.
what were the codes?

po133 and po140 thanks again...

also if its hard to start sometimes and idles iratically sometimes its probably the cps correct? also is it true that a code doesnt necessarily come up when its also a cps issue?
