Hi Everyone,
I have a 1997 E320 and the rpm's don't increase when I press the accelerator. It starts and idles fine but does not rev up when I press the accelerator.I replaced the accelerator sensor and that didn't help. I never had any problem before this so I'm stumped. Please help!!!!!

 

you replaced the sensor under the hood with the cable attached to it?

It didn't help at all. Out $170.00 with no results.

 

doyou have it plugged in. is there a fuse blown? you might have codes in the system and they need to be cleared. not sure if thats the case but maybe.

 

Thanks for the prompt response...But, The sensor is connected. If the code needs to be reset I don't have a clue as to how it's done.

 

Thanks so much for all the responses....I bought an Actron OBD II Scanner and reset my computer...Everything's working perfectly now!!! I appreciate all the help. You guys are really great!!!
