1996 300E After Market Radio Installation
It is for a 1992 300E. Sorry for the typo.
I know that there are so many threads about replacing the factory radios in these cars. Some are complicated and some are easy. I have a question regarding wiring the speakers and the antenna. I bought the Pioneer radio from Crutchfield and they do not have an adapter connector to do a plug and play. I have a Metra adapter for the power supply, antenna, and I think for constant 12V supply. They told me that I have to run new speaker wires of the dash speakers, door speakers, and the rear deck. That means opening up the dash and both front door panels and run wires all the way to the back for the rear deck speakers. Is there a way that I run speaker wires all the way to the rear right side where the amplifiers are and tap on the wiring harness coming out of the amplifier so I do not have to open panels. It seems that this is easier than running wires to the speakers. What do you think? Thank you.
