1995 E420 Auxiliary cooling fan
I noticed recently that the engine on my 1995 E420 was getting unusually hot when I was stopped at a traffic light. When the light changed and I was driving at a normal cruising speed the engine would cool down. I suspected the auxiliary cooling fan. In fact, when I got out of the car at home I noticed that these electric fans were not running. Hoping for the best, I went looking for a fuse. The fuse is not in the fuse box under the hood in front of the driver. Any clues on locating the fuse for the auxiliary cooling fan?

It turns out the problem was not with the fans.
The thermostat was stuck closed. The radiator was not getting heated water therefore the fans did not come on.
Pressure testing revealed a radiator leak, as well.
