I am having trouble with the intermittent function of my windshield wipers. There are days when you turn it onto intermittent and they come on. There are days, like today, when you turn them on and they won't come on. Both slow and high work, just not intermittent. Any ideas? Could it possibly have anything to do with the wiring harness?

I had the same problem in my 95 E320. Ulimately had to change the whole stick along with its bottom part which is in the sterring. have to remove the steering wheel and then replace the whole wiper activitaing stick. I had gone in the gunk yard and had a very cheap deal.
The proble is that this part cannot be repaired it is one single unit and have got so many functions in it. Like left and right signals/low and high beam and off course the whole wiper speeds are controleed by it.
