1990 300e Running hot!!

RE: 1990 300e Running hot!!
OK double checked on top of the thermostat housing (top front right with 2 radiator hoses)I have a hole there but it does not go through and has no screw in it.
But maybe later they put one there or something. Anyway back to the fan part(aux fans) my aux fans were not coming on low when the air came on. So I unpluged the 2 wires attached to the sensor (coolant temp sensor ACC) and they come on but on high.Leading me to believe that the sensor needs replaced or maybe the pressure switch(red) on the side of the accumulator/drier located behind the drivers headlight right in front of the resistor Any ideas on this?
thanks
Oh and I did look today and the temp does not jump up or down and when the fans are running it does not run hot stays around the 80 mark or just above

no bleed screw in it! I think that may be your problem...that's essential to presurizing the cooling system...there should be a bleed screw there, otherwise you are running andy griffith type of old fords here...

otherwise you are just blowing steam out of the cooling system, it won't show up as a coolant leak...you must seal the coolant loop...plug it up and make it pressurize..the missing bolt is key...that is making the rest of the cooling mechanisms (fans and so forth) try to compensate..good luck cliff
