190E 2.3L, 138K, Auto trans stick in 1st gear
Howdy,
I bought a 91 190E in immaculate condition with a bad trans. It's stuck in first gear. Is that DOA on the auto trans or is there something like a regulator valve or electronic computer that could cause that. The guy that I bought it from had the same problem 4 years ago and the mechanic did something to fix it and not it has reoccured. The car was babied and never had been stressed out. The same shop said they can't fix it. I don't trust the shop.

PS Is that a difficult trans to remove? Any special tricks/special toolsfor removal/installation?Is there a recommended place I can get a rebuilt trans from?
